ITIL Implementation Subject Matter Expert (CO)

This position is based in Columbia, SC - approximately 50% of the work will be done there and 50% from a home-based location.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead a team of process managers and specialists in implementing, sustaining, and improving enterprise service management processes in alignment with ITIL for the client. Help ensure alignment of ITSM practices and multiple ITIL processes to support end to end service delivery with organizational goals and objectives.
  • ​Implement and manage complex process improvement strategic initiatives in the business units or across departments using improvement process techniques.
  • Acts in an advisory capacity providing expertise and professional knowledge to executive management on ITIL implementation.
  • Continually measure the performance of IT services and design improvements to IT services and IT processes in order to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and capability of the IT Services with collaboration with all stakeholders 
  • Act as Strategic Liaison to ensure ITIL processes and systems support the organization. 
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to communicate ITSM vision and benefits 
  • Build strong relationships with both internal and external IT services teams (IT Service owners, stakeholders, project teams and offices) and senior management to ensure IT services are meeting the overall strategic goals
  • Facilitate the deployment of process improvement tools, processes, etc.
  • Facilitate the establishment of the service catalog for both business and technology services.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of existing systems and processes and business strategies and objectives, and proactively identifies opportunities for improvement.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (computer science, business administration, healthcare administration field is preferred) 
  • ​Subject-matter-expert understanding of the ITIL/ITSM discipline and demonstrated application of knowledge, skills and abilities towards work products required. 
  • Ability to design, author and implement services under the ITIL framework  
  • The ITIL SME must be adept in setting up new service management activities, including governance and domain analysis frameworks, and guiding organizational change management 
  • ITIL v3 certifications  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite  
  • Excellent oral, verbal and written communications skills  
  • High degree of collaboration skills  

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP certification preferred. 
  • ​Experience in the following governance frameworks preferred: 
    • ​COBIT v5 
    • ​​NIST 
    • MARS-E 
    • CMMI 
  • Consulting experience in business analysis, software engineering or quality assurance a bonus. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (computer science, business administration, healthcare administration field is preferred) 

Timeframe

Full-time with competitive salary and benefits. No Corp to Corp (C2C).
