Position Summary

The SharePoint Architect/Developer will develop solution architectures and implementation designs to support to the team and to meet the client's mission.  The Architect/Developer will provide technical and analytical guidance, developing and defining business and technical requirements and implement business solutions.  

This position is primarily based in Columbia, SC, however some remote work is possible. 

Position Responsibilities / Duties 

This position requires experience in all aspects of SharePoint implementations including custom development, site administration, installation and architecture.  The Architect/Developer will: 

  • Develop detailed system architecture plan to define environmental considerations and system constraints 
  • Lead application development and customization efforts 
  • Develop new solutions and enhancements to support business operations. This may take the form of configuration changes to address defined requirements. 
  • Partner with cross functional stakeholders and other operational teams to problem solve and design improved workflows 
  • Create and maintain documentation for SharePoint infrastructure, development, and operational practices 
  • Manage and administer databases as needed 
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise in the SharePoint environment 

Experience/Knowledge Requirements 

  • Must possess a deep understanding of the capabilities of the SharePoint platform including architectural and application design, management and troubleshooting, with a focus on planning, deploying and supporting enterprise SharePoint implementations 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SharePoint development 
  • Microsoft SharePoint Certified 
  • Experience with defining and executing SharePoint governance 
  • Experience with gathering functional requirements and dealing with the functional and technical users of a system 
  • Ability to adapt a variety of technical tasks while working in a dynamic team environment 
  • Ability to conduct data gathering, research, and analysis, design and develop recommendations, and communicate through briefings and written documents 
  • Ability to develop and maintain detailed technical design artifacts and requirements documentation 
  • Ability to comprehend and document business requirements, functional requirements, and system touch-points, including management-driven requirements, reporting and dashboard requirements, and workflow requirements for business processes 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • BA or BS degree
