Responsibilities and Duties

  • Experience in design and development of solutions that integrate MarkLogic with existing enterprise platforms.
  • Translate business requirements or technical specifications into technical tasks to be completed.
  • Develop appropriate unit testing and quality measurements around the code produced
  • Effectively communicate questions, blockers or concerns to all stakeholders so they can be addressed
  • Address performance and scaling issues around MarkLogic in a clustered environment
  • Accurately estimate the level of effort required to complete specific tasks
  • Reliably deliver quality code on an agreed schedule that meets quality metrics
  • Adhere to exiting software development process and change management procedures.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • B.S. In Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar
  • Experience with MarkLogic NoSQL database, XQuery, XPath, and the MarkLogic Java API
  • Experience with Data Modeling in a NoSQL Environment
  • Experience with optimization and caching techniques
  • Experience with web services
  • Experience of at least 3+ years in MarkLogic, search engines, XML databases or transformation engines
  • Good knowledge of XML, XPath, XSLT, XQuery, JSON, Java/J2EE
  • Experience with XQuery and XML development experience using XPath, XSLT, or XQuery
  • Experience on building search applications using the search capabilities of MarkLogic.
  • Experience on leveraging the different indexes available in MarkLogic
  • Design and development of solutions that integrate MarkLogic with existing enterprise platforms and systems.
  • Strong analytical and design skills, including the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and effective technical designs that work well within large-scale, well-structured enterprise environments.
  • Excellent trouble-shooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and document the root cause of issues, and effectively communicate possible resolutions


Full-time, W2 with competitive salary and benefits. No Corp to Corp (C2C) or 1099 employees.
